Fishing Reports

To all the GrandFishingReport.com website viewers who have loyally followed the website for many, many years, this message is for you. We created a new Facebook group called GrandFishingReport.com. Anyone can join and participate. The “group feed” will now post to the “fishing report” page. We did this so we could get a lot more participation from Angler’s that fish the lake, and are already active on Facebook.

The fishing guides will also be posting in this “group feed”. At some point we will have two streams running at the same time, both on the same page. One column will be from fishing guides only, one from Angler’s that fish Grand.

In less than a week we’ve added many members to the new Facebook “GrandFishingReport.com group”. There will be a lot more traffic and reports since we incorporated the Facebook group. This will defiantly will be exciting for all of us to see!

So, you are welcome to join our group on Facebook or just keep looking at the GrandFishingReport.com website under reports. I know it’s quite a change, but one that many will enjoy. The angler participation has already been terrific.

We had a great night even having to fish behind other boats with the Grand River Monster bowfishing tournament going on tonight. One of the highlights of the night is when they got a crack at a spoonbill that came up beside the boat!! I've only that happen one other time and that was down on Ft. Gibson lake a few years ago. You guys did great!! We are going to take Sunday off and we have trips booked the rest of the week!! I see a bunch of fish meeting their maker this week!!! We switched gears this morning from crappie and took the Knight guys on Grand Lake to catch blue catfish. It was fish on right out of the gate and took me almost an hour to get all the rods baited up and out. They were catching fish more quickly than I could get them all ready. Nothing big, but all good eating size. The bigger fish should start showing up from spawning in the next couple of weeks. Dragging baits .8-1.2mph, fresh cut shad, 12-32ft, Team Catfish Double Action 8/0 hooks and Dead Red Blood spray. www.LancesGuideService.com 918-607-7357

Fireworks and arrows are still flying around the waters of Grand Lake after the busy 4th of July. A beautiful night on the water with a great group of guys from Duck Creek as Chad headed up this great bowfishing adventure. They shot fish almost all night non stop with a monster gar hitting the deck. (We left the biggest gar to live till next time). Looking forward to are next adventure together as new friendships were made with some unforgettable memories. Book your next fishing adventure by calling 4174562908 6205153057

I know the prices of bowfishing can get really pricey!! I would like to donate some of my old arrows to some local kids that are into bowfishing and need some arrows. Well went out and braved the BIG boats of 4rth July weekend last night! The boats had the water stirred up and dirty but my group still got a lot of arrow slinging in!! This was the girls first time to ever shoot a bow and they did great!! Had one of my favorite clients and good friend Ronnie Forbes in the boat too!! He shot a MONSTER buffalo that pulled off close to the boat before we could get another arrow into it!! The gar are everywhere right now!! We've been seeing a TON the past few nights!! Man what a night!! We saw a TON of fish last night!! I had some first time bowfishermen last night, matter of fact they had never even shot a bow before!! These guys did great!!! There were a TON of arrow slinging and we had quite a few near misses and had some pull offs. First spot we pulled up on had around 10-15 big gar all piled up on it!! John shot one of them and it was a HUGE one!! The gar ended up pulling off!! He later redeemed himself and shot another great one later in the night!! If they would've hit everything they shot at we would've sank the boat!! You guys did AWESOME for first time shooters!! Thank you for coming and going fishing with us!! If you want in on the action, give me a call and we can get you setup!! We furnish all equipment! 918-964-0174 www.rustypritchardoutdoors.com SeeLite Honey Creek Outdoors
