Fishing Reports

To all the GrandFishingReport.com website viewers who have loyally followed the website for many, many years, this message is for you. We created a new Facebook group called GrandFishingReport.com. Anyone can join and participate. The “group feed” will now post to the “fishing report” page. We did this so we could get a lot more participation from Angler’s that fish the lake, and are already active on Facebook.

The fishing guides will also be posting in this “group feed”. At some point we will have two streams running at the same time, both on the same page. One column will be from fishing guides only, one from Angler’s that fish Grand.

In less than a week we’ve added many members to the new Facebook “GrandFishingReport.com group”. There will be a lot more traffic and reports since we incorporated the Facebook group. This will defiantly will be exciting for all of us to see!

So, you are welcome to join our group on Facebook or just keep looking at the GrandFishingReport.com website under reports. I know it’s quite a change, but one that many will enjoy. The angler participation has already been terrific.

A big thanks to Nelson Watson, Trent McCord, and several others who commented to help put us on some fish this evening. We started out floating around the little Island north of Governors that was recommended but nothing seemed to be going on there we could see a few Boats off in the distance to the South so we fired up and drove over that way. We got over there by Governors Island and there was over a dozen boats floating around there wasn't much going on at first but just as it was getting dark they really turned on and we caught a dozen or so really quick. I do not have lights set up on my boat so we had to leave the fish biting and head for the ramp. This young man was pumped out of his mind as he reeled several white bass in one right after another. Thank you all for helping me make his night one that he will never forget! ... See MoreSee Less

Nelson WatsonLots of whiteness topping north of the islandnorth. Of givers. Look for birds circling near water surface 45 mins before dark. Get some large spoons bout an ounce so they cast good let go to bottom and jig up and down. Or put on shad rap 5 and troll. I'm not sure of the name of island north of givers but they have been there last few evenings. See attached video of fishing report of mine yesterday

Trent McCordPer Nelson Watsons recommendation last week right at dusk we caught a bunch all in the area I circled in yellow. Just cast and reel them in. We were using bass pro tail spins but I'm sure anything would have worked. Lots of boats around and all were catching fish. It was a blast for a solid 45-60 minutes. Couldn't get them off the hook fast enough.

Bill KoropsakWe were there this evening. Actually all the boats were on the opposite side of the island than the yellow circled area. I cought one trolling a rattle trap and we saw one other caught and so we left. Must have been 12-15 boats just waiting for that bite but they just didnt turn on tonight.. Story of my life, "should have been there yesterday".

Grand Lake blue catfish put big smiles and sore arms on Roy and Ryan this morning. Fresh cut shad on 8/0 Double action hooks from Team Catfish in 8-36ft of water. We started out dragging baits at .5mph and also anchored some today. Both methods produced quality fish. Blue catfishing will just get better as our water cools and a good wind is always a plus. www.LancesGuideService.com Call/Text 918-607-7357

Please post fishing reports with information like lure used, depth, time of day, area of lake, dock or boat, etc. Pics without information about your catch will be removed. This is grand fishing report, not a page about lake area topics on. Nothing personal and I'm sorry if you get upset but I am keeping the focus fishing reports. Fishing reports is why we're all here.

Man o man what a day shoot!! We started off going way south and doing pretty good on drum and we worked our way north and got into the buffs!! Then I asked the guys if they wanted to try some gar that had been rolling and I wasn't sure if they were still there but they wanted to try! We made the long run and the gar were still getting after it!! We shot 3-4 more that cut off in hour and 15 min!! Great day on the water with some great clients/friends!!! I have some openings this week to get out on em while they are still rolling!! 918-964-0174 www.rustypritchardoutdoors.com Honey Creek Outdoors Oneida Eagle Bows T-N-T Archery and Repair SeeLite

🎣Reel Time Adventures Fishing Report 🎣 Grand Lake Current Elevation 743.3 With the recent rains the inflow into Grand Lake will increase over the next 48 hours. Neosho River Basin around Parson Ks has increased 15,000 cfs in the last 24 hours. Down lake should stay clear as mid lake may stain for a short time as they are pulling the water daily trying to keep the elevation at 743 till late October. Elk River arm has been clear to light stain with the inflow changing daily with the heavy storms upstream. With unseasonably cooler temperatures and rain fall for the start of August has cooled the water temperatures from 92.4 to 81.0 in the last 10 days. With the wind switch daily this has made fishing for Whitebass interesting. Whites are mainly an evening bite on shallow wind blow points from Down Lake, Mid Lake Islands to the Elk River Arm. They will set out 15-20 ft then as evening sets in they will move up and start surfacing. Some evenings they will stay up an hour to 15 minutes before dark. We are throwing jigging spoons and 2 1/2 inch go-go minnows with a slow retrieve to trigger the bite. Just remember try not to run over a group of surfacing whites that everyone is fishing on and use your trolling motor to move out of a group of boats before starting your big motor as this will separate the schools of fish. Catfishing has been very good from early morning to early evening bite as the best times. We are drifting small cut shad at .6-.8 mph in 14-25 ft of water. We have noticed that cutting our bait smaller right now has helped on the bites due to the large amount of shad and size of shad in Grand. The Super J Team Catfish Hook has become one of our favorite hooks. Bowfishing the shores of the lake has been on fire from shooting piles of daylight surfacing gar to monster buffalo under the lights. The cooler water temperatures will only add to the excitement! This is a great way to get everyone together and have a great time with viewing different areas of the lake. Bass fishing is improving daily with the early shallow morning bite to the evening 15-20 ft bite. Secondary windy points are producing some nice fish. Spoonbill season will begin in the next couple months as they start to stage up for pre-spawn mid lake action. Going to be a great weekend with only a 50 percent chance of rain late Friday night and back to the low 90's and sunny on the waters of Grand Lake. Thanks for your time and hope this helps you on next fishing adventures. Reel Time Adventures Guide Service 4174562908 6205153057

We caught many largemouth and smallmouth each, and one white bass but we never crossed into Oklahoma because a storm came. The water is very clear upstream but became somewhat "stained" as we approached the Oklahoma border, but not muddy. A storm is coming in tonight so we will have to wait and see again.

Went below the dam in langley and caught alot of fish this size all on topwater. The bite was on like crazy from about 10 until 2. They would only blitz for about 15 seconds at a time but it was fish every cast. I managed around 80 to 90 fish for the trip. A zara spook was the only bait I used all day. ... See MoreSee Less

Casey RobertsA lot of the ones we caught Saturday still had eggs, Clink? Any ideas why?

Clink OakleyIt's been a weird year for one and not all fish spawn at the same time and some fish seem to never spawn. They can also spawn early and start holding eggs again. I would be interested to see them though, we haven't cleaned any fish in a few months this is just my opinion, but I think sometimes the fish are young and just don't know what to do and end up holding the eggs, that's an observation from breeding aquarium fish more then from catfishing though
